# Bootstrap Launch Mechanism

To solve initial bootstrapping (no stakers → no markets → no yield), Axiom includes a temporary bootstrap mode granting the dev team limited operational privileges to seed markets and demonstrate system lifecycle. Transition to decentralized governance occurs via 3-signer consensus or automatically after 12 months (contract includes a hard 12-month maximum bootstrap duration).
