# Resolution Architecture

Resolution is handled through the MarketResolver contract, which coordinates:

* Proposal submission
* Challenge periods
* Voting
* Escalation logic
* Penalties and rewards
* Finalization

Stake-based penalties and rewards are applied by minting or burning share tokens in Axiom Prime vaults rather than moving underlying assets. This maintains vault integrity while enforcing accountability.

The system uses **dual epoch locking**:

* Creation epoch
* Resolution epoch

This ensures voters are fresh, currently staked, and unable to avoid penalties by withdrawing mid-process.
