# Security Model

Axiom is designed around the principle that the most reliable form of security is economic alignment. Participants who hold the most value in the system are the ones who secure it. This eliminates the need for governance tokens, external oracles, or trusted committees.

The security model has four layers:

1. **Stake-weighted honesty**
2. **Sybil resistance**
3. **Snapshot-based fairness**
4. **Penalty and reward enforcement**

Each layer works together to create a system where dishonesty is economically irrational and accuracy is profitable.
